I overheard my grandmother apologizing for the burnt pie

My grandmother was an unbelievable cook dinner, all the time making probably the most scrumptious meals. However one night, she served my grandpa a pie that was utterly burnt—so black it appeared like charcoal. I watched carefully, questioning how he would react.

To my shock, he didn’t flinch. He merely ate his slice with out a single grievance and requested me how my day had been.

Later that night time, I overheard my grandmother apologizing for the burnt pie. My grandpa’s response caught with me without end: “Darling, I like your pie.”

Curious, I requested him later if he had actually meant it. He put his arm round me and stated, “Your grandma had a protracted day. She was drained. A burnt pie gained’t damage me, however a harsh phrase might have damage her.”

All of us make errors, however kindness, endurance, and love are what really matter.
