A chemist walked into his pharmacy one morning and instantly seen a person standing stiffly in opposition to the wall.
The person appeared completely terrified. His face was pale, his legs had been tightly crossed, and he barely dared to maneuver.
The chemist frowned and turned to his assistant.
“What’s fallacious with that fellow?”
The assistant replied, “He got here in earlier asking for cough syrup.”
“Nicely, did you give him some?”
“Not precisely,” mentioned the assistant. “We had been out of cough syrup, so I offered him a bottle of laxatives as a substitute.”
The chemist practically dropped the field he was holding.
“You WHAT?!”
The assistant nodded proudly.
The chemist stared at him in disbelief.
“You fool! Laxatives don’t remedy a cough!”
The assistant pointed towards the frightened man by the wall.
“Positive they do.”
The chemist appeared over once more.
The assistant grinned and mentioned,
“Simply have a look at him. He’s far too scared to cough.”
