An aged farmer had owned a good looking, sprawling plot of land in Louisiana for many years. Deep behind his property sat a pristine, deep pond that he had fastened up through the years with picnic tables, horseshoe pits, and luxurious fruit bushes.
One heat night, the previous man determined to walk all the way down to the pond, grabbing a five-gallon bucket on his manner out to select some recent peaches and apples.
As he approached the water, he heard splashes, giggles, and joyous shouting. Peering by the bushes, he noticed a gaggle of younger ladies skinny-dipping in his personal pond.
The second they realized somebody was approaching, the startled ladies shortly swam to the deep, far finish of the pond, submerging themselves as much as their necks.
One of many ladies yelled out defiantly, “We aren’t popping out of the water till you allow, previous man!”
The farmer checked out his empty bucket, smiled warmly, and shook his head.
“Women, I didn’t stroll all the best way down right here to look at you swim bare, and I absolutely don’t wish to drive you out of the water,” the wily old-timer shouted again.
He held up his five-gallon bucket and added, “I simply got here down right here to feed the alligators.”
