John and Mary rushed to the hospital to go to John’s father, who had been in a deep coma for six months.
The physician shook his head sadly.
“I’m afraid there’s no hope. He could by no means get up.”
John was devastated.
He sat beside the mattress, grabbed his father’s hand, and began crying.
“Dad, please get up! For those who do, I’ll stop consuming, develop into a greater husband, and at last get an actual job!”
All of the sudden…
The outdated man’s eyes flew open!
He sat straight up and regarded across the room like he’d simply been dropped onto one other planet.
John and Mary screamed with pleasure.
“It’s a miracle! Dad’s awake!”
However the outdated man regarded completely terrified.
“WHERE AM I?! WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!”
John blinked.
“Dad, it’s me! Your son, John! And that is Mary, your daughter-in-law!”
The outdated man stared at them in horror.
“MY WHAT?!”
He glanced towards the window, noticed his reflection, then frantically grabbed his telephone.
“Assist! Safety! Emergency!”
John tried to calm him down.
“Dad, it’s okay! You’ve been in a coma for six months!”
The outdated man froze.
“Six months?!”
He checked out John.
Then at Mary.
Then again at John.
“I got here right here for a routine process!”
He shook his head in disbelief.
“How did I get up with a spouse, a son, and a household stuffed with issues?!”
John slowly lowered his head.
The outdated man pointed at him.
“And apparently… YOU’RE the most important one!”
