When “Grownup Phrases” Backfire


It was day one among kindergarten, and one father was on a strict mission to completely improve his five-year-old son’s vocabulary.

His dad sighed. “Son, you’re an enormous boy now. Large boys use grownup names. It’s only a cow.”
